Joy Riley has been President and Principal Broker of Westcott since its foundation in 1987. As Principal Broker of Westcott Properties, Joy began selling REO properties in 1990 with the collapse of the state of Rhode Island Credit Unions. Westcott Properties was selected as one of a select few brokerage companies to handle from cradle to grave a large portfolio of properties consisting of assets ranging from single family, multi-family to large scale commercial assets and apartment complexes. The sale and management process was awarded annually and Westcott Properties was retained by the state of Rhode Island (Department of Economic Protection Corporation) contractually from 1990 through 1998 to provide services throughout RI and MA.

Westcott Properties was created in 1987 as a boutique brokerage firm specializing in the sale of Investment and Corporate Owned real estate throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Westcott began with two agents and now boasts a sales staff of 18 experienced agents, an eight member support staff with two office spaces centrally located in Providence, RI, an additional market center in East Greenwich, RI and an office located in Newton, MA. Over the years Westcott Properties has not only grown in size but has successfully added expertise in all areas and neighborhoods of RI and MA and has become a leader in the local market. Key to their success level is market knowledge, a talented support staff and their keen ability to resolve the most complex real estate matters.

Joy has received consistent industry recognition for closed sales volume throughout her career. It is not sales volume that brings pride to this broker, but the number of families assisted, the neighborhoods transformed and the impact stabilization initiatives have had on the community.

Joy's vision for her community continues and she is now passionate about leveraging the power of technology to advance her real estate initiatives.
